Anyone in the media claiming Russia’s assault has “stalled” is lying. They want you to think it will be an easy task for American led forces to finish this off.

I’m sure you’ve seen the news reports that Ukraine resistance has pushed back Russia’s army. You’ve probably also seen pundits claiming Putin has bitten off more than he can chew, and now his army is faltering and his plan failing.

The problem with that is first of all, it betrays the simple facts. Not only that, it shows a total lack of understanding of what Putin’s true goals are.

Putin isn’t a good guy, but at the same time, he doesn’t want to kill countless Ukrainians. This isn’t some centuries old religious or cultural war. It’s a simple territorial war where Putin’s goal is to oust NATO, and by default the U.S. out of Europe.

Once you understand that you start to realize Putin’s strategy here.

A perfect example is the so-called peace talks that Russia and Ukraine agreed to. Russia sent very low level diplomats to speak with the Ukrainian President. This was no accident, it was all a part of the strategy to simply drag things on.

Putin won’t accept any terms other than control of the Ukraine government. The peace talks are a dog and pony show. It’s simply meant to drag things on. If you are serious about talks, you send your highest level officials there, not low level guys with no authority. The world and the Ukrainian president got played on that one.

There simply isn’t a way to look at this where Putin isn’t holding all the cards. Do you really think he’s afraid of looking like the “bad guy” of Europe? That’s exactly what he wants. He’s spent his career building the image of the bad guy. What makes you think that global condemnation will cause him to rethink his plans?

The American war machine establishment wants conflict. They are acting apprehensive, but secretly this is what they want. In order to get it, they have to make the war seem easy and winnable to the public. How do they do that? They portray a small ragtag group of Ukrainians as already fighting off Russia successfully. Then they claim Russia’s army is weak and barely has enough gas for their tanks. This makes it all seem like American troops can just drop and clean up this mess in a few days and get out. Easy work, right?

Now where have we heard that one before?
